Yeah $400 for a couple time tool set is a bit much for me. Would much rather just rent or borrow something like that, let the purchaser make some of their money back. :P

is there no way i can just use a standard flare tool? cant find this tool anywhere. I need to get his truck done and out of my yard. this is being a lot more hassle then i thought it would be.

I have seen a repair kit like the link I posted in the help section, then you can just connect it to whatever you want.

was trying to do all metal lines, guess we should go back to looking at rubber FI hose.
Just use the repair lines then double flare the other end and use a union to connect to the existing line (obviously you'll need to double flare that line also). Do the same for the opposite existing line and you're all done.

OK it had the saddle tanks, not sure if i should use the lines there or run new one. my friend is set on new ones. will see how it goes
