I havent been on the board much other than doing a little lurking here and there due to school and daily driver issues. I have another week til finals are over with, but atleast I have the daily driver issues over with. In the fall I bought an 06 silverado ecsb and easter weekend got run off the road into a bayou... Other guy that caused it didnt stop either. So got the settlement check and went back and forth on what I wanted. One day I wanted another late model truck, or a trans am, or a classic, or another old school square body for a project...
That is until I found this truck in San Antonio. Drove to San Antonio at 5am saturday to pick it up, and have been grinning from ear to ear every since.
Specs,
2006 silverado 2500hd lt2
crew cab/short bed 2wd, duramax LBZ backed up with a 6spd allison.
A small lift and a bunch of cosmetic work that was done by the previous and only owner that lived in Sacramento, meaning the entire underchassis is clean enough to eat off of.
Even found a set of train horns, and compressor under the rear bed when inspecting it. The power was disconnected and the dealership didnt even know it was there. Has an electric retractable electric locking toneau cover for the bed, billet grill, and billet door handles.
Performance goodies, has a banks six-gun, banks full length exhaust, air intake, fitch fuel catalyst system. Like I said, still in shock.
Please dont flame too bad on the door handles, I was actually going to ditch them for some factory black door handles after seeing the whole iron cross thing in the pictures. But then when I got there, I realized they are actually machined billet aluminum.
On a kind of strange note, I have never really had a vehicle that I wanted to leave the way it was...
