Well I just bought me a new DD. Something I have always wanted and the wofe finally agreed as long as I kept the "Price Right". It didn't get any better than this one. 99 Z28 , 83,000 miles, 5.7L w/6 Speed manual. It will go from 0-ticket in NO TIME AT ALL. It even has the 18" Corvette wheels on them with Z rated tires.:D:D

Love that,'Arrest Me Red', color :D :wink1:  !!

Now I like that phrase. At first I was kind of hesitant to get it due to the rims, but after some research they are off a Z06. 18" wheels. Those things are sticky. I can only get the tires to let loose at about a 6000 rpm clutch dump. I think I am going to take it and have it dyno'd then odff to the track for an initial run before I start modifying(sp?) it.

The thing is quick, I often have to catch myself getting on it. Screwing around today in it and did a pretty good launch, went to shift to 3rd and realized I was doing close to 70:eek: The wife gave me the :shame: look.

if they're 18s fr and rear they're aftermarket... z06 has 19s and 18s... looks sweet!!

Just a thought, couldn't they be 2 pr of front wheels? Who know what if the rear has wider rims, but just a thought.

People who run M3 wheels on any other BMW do that. The M wheels are staggered, and the rears won't fit anything else, but two sets of fronts are perfect.

I had never heard of anyone doing that, i guess im just clever, haha :D:haha:

Well I haven't figured out whether the wheels are aftermarket or what yet. But from what I have been reading on teh C4's they had 18" rears and 17" fronts staggered. I will pull one off and see what markings I can find on the things.

Lowering it will be soon. I plan to drop it about an inch and a half to decrease the gap of the wheels and the fenderwells as well as do some "modifications" to it. Plan on opening up the exhaust, a custom dyno tune and maybe porting and olishing the heads. Plans in the future will be more than likely a super charger and a 150 shot of juice. Plan to spend the not wheeling weeekends at the local track here.
