I'm getting ready to purchase new door shells and a tailgate for my 87' that I'm doing a half resto on. Are the shells from partstrain any good or are they gonna be crap. My current factory doors rattle and are very flemsy(may have been hit before). My girlfriend closed it with her hip and left an ass sized dent in the door(eaisly pulled out with plunger). Im just looking to get something that the sheet metal doesnt feel so cheap and wont give at the slightest push!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The best doors i have seen are actual GM replacements. But i have never bought any i usually find decent ones used. My friend bought some cheap doors about 3 years ago and has since replaced them with good used doors. The cheap ones cracked around the outside door handle and from the wing window out towards the mirrors also the pass side had a problem with the window track. I belive those doors were sold by a company called "centenial replacement parts" but i have no idea who made them.

its all the same brand in the begining. just the sticker makes it diffrent.

find good gm stuff and it will be better in the end.

i used one of the after market doors and its not nearly as good as the gm doors. go with a factory replacement or salvage door..
