New exhaust manifolds

You didn't buy a set of the tubular stainless ones?? Only $500/each last I checked. :)

These were less than $150 to my door with all the hardware/gaskets.

I only got them since the current pass side manifold has a huge crack in it.

$150/pair?

Not got them up close to look at, but those appear to be repro? Probably better bet than trying to find used, especially if it's $150 for both. :)

It was $138 for both, with all the hardware.
I bought them form a company that I have dealt with many times....so I know they will be good.

I got them installed and found a leak around the pass side manifold to "Y" pipe fitting.

How exactly am I supposed to torque down the 3 bolts with the springs?
Should I bottom them out?

Yeah I always thought it was ideal to bottom them out. Never had a problem doing it.

Does that side take a gasket, or do you still have the heat riser there? I didn't notice it before, but it looks like both manifolds are flat where the pipe mates up, isn't the drivers side supposed to be tapered with no gasket?

Both sides take the gaskets. The manifold end is flat, but the gasket gives it the shape needed to match up to the Y-Pipe.

I got the parts from 1AAuto.com
Highly recommended by me. This would be the 7th or 8th order I have made from them.

has any1 ever used the cast headers..iirc they are made by sanderson....do they flow as well as tube headers? and being cast iron they would keep exhaust gases hot and therefor flowing fast...and if they do flow like tube headers..it would be the best of both worlds!
