New Fast Trac Kayline Top

Kayline has a new top for 69-72 Blazers with the fast trac design. It looks cool but, does anyone know if this will also fit 73-75 models? I e-mailed Kayline with the same question but, I was just curious if anyone heard any info on this top. No, they're not the same and they won't work. Kayline is making the softtops for the 73 to 75' models currently, but won't be available till maybe April or May. I asked them this a while ago last year, and that was the answer they gave me. Hope this helps yah.

I hope they are available by then because that was when I wanted to get one for my 74. I e-mailed Kayline today and maybe they have some more info on the fast trac for 73-75. If I find any new info I will be sure to post it here. Thanks Boss for the info.

Well I'll e-mail them also. Maybe if enough of us with the 73-75's inquire we can get them to expidite them :) I ran 8 months last year with just a bikini I think this yeah I may suck it up and get a real soft top. The older I get the wimpier I get

I e-mailed them last week, as I am getting ready to get one. Got the reply- Here it is:&gt;

Is this available for a 75? Your site only list 69-72 and 76-91. If so,

We are in the process of designing a fasttrac top for the 73-75 Blazer. I
expect it to be ready by March. The part number for this top will be:
552-310-XX. XX=color code. We will post pictures and a description on the
new products page of our web site when it is ready.

We should all get in on one, like through Camelot or someone and maybe they'll give us a decent discount for "group" purchases. What do yall think?

Sounds good to me. As long its the new fast trac version, and if we as a group show an interest in the new version maybe they will release the new version sooner than expected. We should gather everyone names that are interested in the top and send it to Kayline and see what they say.

Yeah lets make a post. My other obsession is a Supra and Grops of people all the time get together and make "Group Buys" to get heavy discounts. Kyline really won't care what we buy as long as they get a big sale so if everybody thats ready for a top buys at the same time they may give us a good discount.
What needs to be done is sombody contact Kayline and see what kind of discounts we can get if we get several sales at once. They probably already have that information. Most companies will make discounts for order of 5, 10 etc..
Hopefully with 1700 registered on here we could make a big sale like 30. That should be good for a big discount.

Count me in. I've been waiting for the fasttrac top to be available for a while now, and if we all can save some cash all the better. Now we just need someone to be the person who deals with Kayline. Any takers?

Definately count me in....But we'll have to wait till March for the New Fasttrac to come out for the 73 to 75' models too. yeah, who wants to be the CK5 spokes person. If no one steps up, I guess I would be that guy.

I just got that same e-mail from Kayline. March is exactly when I was planning to get a top anyway. I'm sure we can get at least a dozen people on here that wants one. So we got 2 months to save our money for the new top. I can't wait to get mine!

I could also be the spokesperson if need be. Just let me know.

Does anyone know why Black is a special order. I emailed dealer a while back and was told black would take several weeks.
 
You wouldn't think that a plain color like black would be special order. Are you ordering straight from Kayline or from a distributor?

This is what I got from Kayline:


Any of our tops are available with the 31% dark tint. The part number for
the 69-72 Blazer fasttrac top with dark tint windows is: 551-319-XX.
XX=color code. The lead time depends upon the color, to some extent. Black
is the shortest lead time at about 6 weeks. All others will take longer.

We do not sell directly to the public. We sell only through our
distributors who set their own prices. For this reason, I cannot quote you
a price. You can find a list of our distributors on our web site @
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.kaylinetops.com>http://www.kaylinetops.com</A>. Most of our distributors do mail order, so it
is not necessary to find a distributor near you.

Shortest lead time of 6 weeks. Thats seems a little long, but I guess if you want it you have to wait.

My Supra is a 89 Targa NA white package. To be quite Honest I like the styling of the MkIII better that the MkIV. However I am always looking for the freshly totaled Twin Turbo to strip the drivetrain from

I recently went to a meet and wtch a couple guys monkey with a 86. They got a 70hp gain with a 50cent plastic T pipe and some computer tweeking in about 30 minutes. They took a mostly stock (*other than some computer gagets) and had it pumping out 300RWH in about 20 minutes!

It was Camelot that I contacted. I believe they quoted $513 for a fast trac on the 80's models. It is kind of funny. You'd think black is the most common color to make.
