Harbor Freight has a 20% off any one single item today so finally pulled the trigger on a 3 ton low/high profile floor jack. It easily fits under the Z on the low end and extends almost 25" on the high end for the K5.

In the included instructions it shows how to remove any air from the jack before first use which I did, so hopefully I have good luck with it.

I have the same jack - got it about a year and a half ago. Been a good jack so far. Will say even though it's low and long.. It still doesn't fit under my Camaro.. lol

How low is your Camaro?

Low.. It's strange. It's about 3/4" lower than stock. But there aren't many good jack points on that thing and the only place in the front I can get to is the crossmember. The hinge area of the jack wont fit under the nose, which is really long. So I have to drive up on some wood planks to gain a little.

I bought 2 of their aluminum floor jacks. One fits in a toolbox on ReTonkulous, with the handle split. And 2, not HF, jack stands. Still enough room for 3 tool rolls in the box. It was used by 3 people on HRPT this year.

I had an aluminum one of theirs and managed to tweak the frame. Got rid of that one. Only used it on my cars, never on my trucks. I don't trust them at all.

I will only lift one corner, then set it on a jack stand. Same thing on Power Tour. I watched as they set the cars on jack stands.

That's ALWAYS the smart thing to do with all jacks!

What year Camaro? Mine fits under my 2016 just fine. I also have the lift blocks for lifting from the rocker pinch weld.

98. There's places in the back. But not a lot of good places in the front. Some cars have little waffle pads that are supposed to help behind the tires but they're more likely to bend/break the front fenders.

I have had a 3 ton Daytona low profile regular length since shortly after they came out.
Got sent a Christmas coupon from HF and the jacks were on sale, coupon was good on sale stuff for once.
Got the jack for $98.00 out the door.

It promptly took over all jacking duties, from my 3 and 5 ton Norco's.
I keep a 1.5 ton aluminum Pitsburg Forge in the dune buggy. It has seen lots of use. The handle makes a great snipe for short 3/4" drive breaker bar I store in it. VW axle nuts go to @275-300 ft pd

They shouldn't be under the fenders, usually they are located under the A pillars?

The little plastic waffle is 'supposed' to be a good jack point but some PO has pre broken mine.

The subframe inside that is usable if I'm not in the garage, but the balance of the car likes to lift the rear more than I like.
