New From South Texas

Hello All!
Name is Adam. I am happy to say I just bought my first K5!!! Its a 87 with a carb'd 350 and a 6" lift i believe. It has a blown 700r4 so I got it cheap. Even though this is my first k5 i am no stranger to a full size chevy.

My plan for this one is a 5.3 iron block ls with a built 4l65 and still unsure of what my axle and tires will be. my goal is to have a dead reliable Hunting/beach truck.

The 5.3 will be a nice upgrade, after someone downgraded an '87 to a carburetor.

find a late 70s carb to throw on for now, might find it runs a lot better with more adjustability

if it's just a hunting/beach rig, stick with 3/4 ton axles. Find a matching pair and be happy

Looks like it's just a dual capacity carb, not CCC, luckily.

sold the burb to help pay for the move to texas. Was alot of fun but had too much invested in it to really beat on it
