I need to replace my windshield. While i was looking at doing that i was going to replace the rear sliding panels.

Does anyone have some recommendations on where to buy from. I found a few places just wanted to see what people on the forum have used in the past or would prefer
I want to replace the rear with a solid piece not a slider.

Thank you

The windshields in these 2nd gen’s aren’t bad to do. But, it is glass.
I just pay someone to put it in. If they break it on install, that’s on them. IMHO, it’s worth it to just pay someone else to take that kind of risk.

When I priced out a new windshield + shipping a few months ago, it was more $ than having the local glass guy come to my house and swap it out. This also saves me having to haul/pay to dispose of the old one.

AFAIK, nobody is making the topper windows anymore.

Unrelated to glass, I can't get over the illusion that your truck has no lug nuts. How are the wheels staying on?

It’s something I have never attempted. I have been in the glass business for 20 years commercial and residential. I have all the tools just wanted to attempt it.

I’m having a real hard time finding glass for the top back half.

I did find a rebuild kit for the slider but wanted to get rid of it.

Thank you

lol you just had me run outside and check

She sure does have lug nuts. I just purchased 1 week ago.

I can dispose the glass without a problem. Having all the tools is why I wanted to attempt it.

I might have to make a template and have some of my vendors make it.

If you can find somebody to make it, please let us know. Finding those windows is a common request here, so at some point tooling them up makes sense. Keep in mind that the glass is not flat.

I have at least one set maybe two that are out and a couple of toppers with glass. Typically they aren’t too hard to find in the salvage yards around here or people giving away or selling toppers cheap.

I have one side solid glass for the topper.
