Here is a pic of the one I had built last year from Texan Trailer in Tomball, Texas
22 Ft. x 102" wide, spring loaded ramps, drive over fenders, built in tool box
I think I like the fenders on your better...

The only problem with the fenders on mine is that they have expanded metal over them where you drive and my boggers dont like it especially if you have the tires turned at all. It just grabs it and pulls it up at the edges. I am gonna get some angle iron and bolt it to the inside edge of the fender that way it cant hook it and pull it up. This is a 24', 102" wide, dual 7K axles, dual electric brakes, and dovetail. I got mine for $5400 drive out. It has the spot at the front of the trailer for your chains and stuff but no lid. I am gonna be putting a box or something on the front to keep the chain and binder in and keep them from getting rained on and rusted.

What are the main frame rails made out of on you guys' trailers? Thinking about building one much like what you have pictured here. Maybe a tad shorter though. 18' probably.

Not sure, but its strong, I think it has 2 6" or 8" beams, one thing for sure gooseneck is the only way to go

my fenders are made from 6 channel, they will never bend
Drive out price when I got it march of last year was 4600.00, now I think they are around 5200.00. The salesman called about a month ago and said they had a 38' built the same way with 3 X 7000 lb axles for 8600.00

I am not sure what size the main beams are. I will get some measurements tommorow for you.

AGREED!!! Gooseneck is deffinately the way to go. This is the first gooseneck I have owned and I love the way it pull and it is so easy to back up because you can cut the truck 90 degrees to the trailer. Also it pulls REALLY good even with the truck loaded more on the back of the trailer and over the axle it still pull great at 75MPH.

You'll never have a problem with the trailer swaying on you, its a lot more stable, not to mention safer...and then the cool factor-its a gooseneck--Just noticed your from Lufkin, Man the sh*t I used to do there when I was in school in Nacodgoches. Lucky I'm still alive

I was thinking of using 2x6x.188" wl. rect. tubing for the main frame rails and then step it up a bit heavier in the neck. 2x6 is probably heavy enough for the whole thing. Most of these trailers that I have seeh are made of channel iron. Heavier ones from I beam.
