Hey everybody,my name is Steve and I am buying this blazer on saturday for 2,000.The guy said it has a 6 inch lift with 33's.It runs great and is in good condition. The only thing wrong with it is the reverse went out in the 700r4,no biggie,I'll replace it soon.Other than that it just needs a new carpet kit(dirty) and an engine steam clean.Think 2,000 is a good deal?

that looks like a sweet deal for 2gs. mine was pretty much in that condition when i got mine 8months ago, and i had to dish out $3500. location location location.

are u set on redoing the carpet? mine needed replacing so i ripped it out and uncovered a couple rust spots that needed tending to. i ended up just herculining the entire interior. i think it came out pretty good, just a little more noisy.

well anyways, welcome to ck5! you are gonna love it here

so with the reverse gone, looks like ur gonna have to go through the house. hehe. does it not work at all?

Thanks for the warm welcome. All of the forward gears still work, just reverse is gone.I am going to replace the carpet with black.I have an 87 4runner also that we may herculine.I want some comfort.I had a 77 with a 6 inch lift and 35's and it was loud and not a good family truck.

alright so ur not new to the offroad scene. thats cool. this place has everything, if you cant find it using the search, then you dont need it. :D

Nope, not new to the scene.I am building up our 4runner right now with a stage II torquer cam,.030 Kieth Black pistons, turbo valves.I need a little more power in that thing. It does really well though. My old friend had an 86 K5 with a 4 inch lift and 33's and my runner, stock at the time went everwhere his blazer did.I was surprized.I needed another K5 though.

Other than the exhaust, what are some good mods for tbi?I haven't had tbi before.I will switch to tpi down the road but would like some more power and mpg's to hold me over.

i could really use some more mpgs. right now im at about 8-9. maybe the 513s will fix that haha.

I was told the truck gets about 15-17 on the hwy but I would like a little more. One of my 4runners gets about 13 with an 18 gallon tank so...I will check thows websites but does anybody have mods that they have done and actually felt a difference.I don't know how much $$$ I have spent on "mods" for other cars that were a complete waste.

Well,I got it home this weekend. It was a 230 mile trip each way but it was worth it.The truck is really clean. It sat for 4 months so it was filthy when I picked it up but cleaned nicely. It has a 350,700r4 with a 208 t-case,auburn posi in the rear.It is a 4 inch lift, not a 6.It runs great,I just have to put a new tranny in.The reverse is gone, rpm's drop when you put it in reverse but won't move. All in all it was a great deal.$2,000.

well we are all glad u could join the club! this place will help you do ur tranny swap tahts for sure. alot of ppl on here have done them. good luck

I really like the looks and color of that truck :saweet: Sounds like a good deal even if you have to rebuild the tranny..

I was gonna say it looks more like a 4 inch then a 6 inch from the pics but I see you found that out already :D

Thanks for the warm welcome. It is really clean except for the carpet and the tranny. It was sitting for 4 months. He started it up every few weeks but that was it.I will be adding more lift and some 35's but I won't cut it up,too clean, now if it was a 70's or early 80's fine.
