Howdy guys, I didn't see anywhere else this could go, but just wanted a few opinions (good or bad!). Bought my first 4x4 last month a 1988 jimmy sierra classic with the TBI 350. Rebuilt motor and trans with about 11k on them, high flow cat. New posi (think its a locker due to tire noise whenever I turn), new warn hubs, new 31 inch michelins, new seals for the transfer case. Thats about all I can think of now, the things documented better then a WW2 plane. Truck has no rust which I guess isnt that big of a deal here in california. Payed 2000 for it and hope to really have some fun with this thing. Plan on makin it my daily driver and doin some light wheeling with it. Heres a crappy cell phone picture, so tell me what ya think! I hate payin blue book for a car but this seemed like a pretty good deal. Also any suggestions on things to keep my eye on or any trouble areas with these rigs would be GREAT. Best 25 dollars ive spent by the way!

Good looking ride, now get to work with that sawzall, buy yourself a 60/14 combo, and a set of 64 inch springs, and a shackle flip. you'll like it a lot more...:D

Oh, and welcome! Come visit the lounge

Welcome to the board.

I will admit I am a little jealous, I paid more than that for my 80 and it has a lot of rust.

Thank you for all the compliments guys! You guys have some bad ass rigs. Real friendly atmosphere here and so much information. Im going to try and get some pics asap. My digital camera was stolen by the mattress delivery men (no damn lie).

only thing that has me bummed is the PO put a friggin CB antenne through the sheet metal portion of the roof. Did a friggin hack job of fixing it but it is sealed pretty well. Just looks like a small portion of hell. I will be sure to get pics.

more/new pics.

Hey guys got a few more pics of the rig with my buddy's cell. Still crappy but you can get the general Idea. I think one of you asked for a few more so here ya go! Later guys. Also how well to the 10 bolts hold up to light wheeling? a few buddys of mine are planning a trip down to pismo for the dunes and was wondering how capable my rig would be.

well were the hole was it kinda comes to a peak hard to see there. I was told by my dad to just sand it down and put some filler in but who knows. As long as it doesnt leak I guess I cant complain haah

Sweet ride, One trouble area is the frame around the steering box will crack. You can get bolt on braces or a weld on repair kit. I would go with the braces if its not cracked yet.
You might be O.K. with 31's and mild trail riding. Id defenetly keep an eye on it.
