HI all just got my first blazer. It actually the M1009 CUCV. Picked it up on an online auction and got really lucky. Runs like a top. Brought it home and took it straight to the body shop for body work and paint. Went from Cammo to a textured (bed liner like) black paint. I ordered the window seal kit from LMC and just did the tailgate first. Huge pain. got the inner and outer on and the upper and all looks good. BUT... The window crank is junk and the teeth on the crank are worn so it wont roll up. with out the window seals it will if you pull up and crank. Its now so tight with the seals the crank just spins. So heres my questions.
1) Are the seals supposed to be that tight? Or is there another problem.
2) Ive searched multiple forums and tons of threads on the rear crank the pros and cons of LMC, originalparts and dealership items. Just want to know whats the best.
Thanks for the information and GREAT site tons of info.

I used the LMC seals on my M1008. They were a little tight but the bigger problem for you is the gears being messed up. Fix that and you will have less issues. Also, that truck has probably sat for a while some penetrating oil and a little grease on the window crank and lift assembly would help.

Another thing you can check is to make sure that the seals are fully seated. The metal tabs on mine hadn't clicked in all the way and I fought with it for a few hours.

Hope this helps.
