hi, my names Josh, im new to the ck5 site, and web forums in general. i thought i'd introduce myself, my trucks a stock '86 GMC jimmy, 305, sm465, 2.73 geared pig that needs some work. its my now current daily driver while i restore my 71 Cutlass. this isnt my first K5 as i had an '89 fully loaded one with i would imagine nearly every factory option that i foolishly sold to get my 87 cutlass that i'm ironically selling to put the jimmy on the road, i certainly will miss my beloved 87. anyways, i'm an oldsmobile guy at heart so forgive me for any seemingly stupid comments or questions. sorry if this seemed long winded.

The first thing I'd do is change the gear ratio...make it usable.

thank you all very much for the welcome, olds is in my blood so that habits gonna always stay with me. hell, if i could i'd love to plop my olds 350 in place of the anemic 305 but thats not in the cards right now. a gear change would be nice too, but as with everything else its as budget allows. anyways, thank you all again for the warm welcome

Olds engines make hella torque, I say 455.
