hey everyone, just got my first fullsize 4x4. A 1980 gmc jimmy. P.O. had the motor and axels rebuilt. has a np 205, 6" superlift and 39.5" tires. Im in need of some advice. The seal between the trans and t-case is allowing all the atf to fill the tcase and leaks out the output seals. I have read that some people just leave it because the 205 can run atf. So, should i do this and just replace the output seals? Or, drop the t-case and replace the seal between the tcase and trans and do the output seals?

Once the 205 gets overfilled it will start leaking from everywhere, not to mention it's taking fluid away from the transmission. It's easy to replace that seal, I would go ahead and do that.

run our old truck for maybe 2 years, before we had time to replace seals. mine you i didn,t use it much but would level transfer case and refill transmission every few weeks.
