and the shackle flip on the rear!

I know the concensus is generally "lowest lift possible for biggest tire possible", but I still have a thing for a tall K10 shortbed on 40" Boggers. Something about it just looks right. -Makes sense for South Carolina too, since I'm sure you guys get in the mud quite a bit. More mud than so-dry-the-forests-are-always-on-fire Colorado anyway. Looks nice dude! :thumb:

Question: what brand of "replacement hood" did you get? And do you like the quality/fit of it?

Thanks! Its my dads old k10 that he was tired of watching it rust so I work on it in my driveway. As for the hood, I found an original with one spot that was bondo'ed up about the size of your fist.

Trucks from Dads are the best kind. :D

Cool. If you haven't already, you should start a Build Thread. That's the best thing to do for a guy like yourself that's good about taking pics and showing the progress on his rig. You'll get way more helpful responses from the members here that way. This forum has experts in just about everything you'll encounter with your build. :waytogo:

Thanks again! craigslist and ebay have helped out a lot too. Can I get the moderator to move it to the driveway builds page?

Done. I changed the title a little to make it more descriptive. You can change it again if you want, just go to "edit" and then "advanced" and you'll see where to change it.
