New hood

Wow, I like the ramair hood, but by the price of them they sure are proud of their products.:yikes::eek1::yikes:

Insurance covering this one? That was some big ass hail... :eek1:

And bringing functional bling, how dare you!:haha:

Are those nostrils on the first one? :screwy:

Rene

Now that you mention it they do look nostrilish. I was liking the low profile idea, but not with a nose on my truck. Too clownish. Okay, so we're down to two. You're a bastard Rene, that was the cheap one.

Yes, insurance is paying for it. They cut me and the bank a check, but the bank won't release it until everything is fixed and they inspect it, or I give them a company name and quote, and they cut a check to the company. The downside of doing your own work. Which is fine, it makes convincing the wife I need this a little easier. :D

Sorry man, it could be worse though...I could have mentioned it after it was on your truck. :D

Oh, and if I had to pick a non stock hood I'd go with the third link. It's the only one that doesn't look 'overdone' IMO. Bear in mind i'm not a big fan of hoodscoops at all...on anything...especially a truck.

Yeah, I've been leaning towards that one too. They're also the only ones that have replied to my questions so far. I like customer service. Just waiting on the wife's opinion now, since she has the final say on what I do to the truck with the warranty... :( Blah.

im more of a cowl hood guy myself, but id buy the 2nd one for a lifted truck (more bulky), and the 3rd one for a truck thats stock height or lowered (more low profile). is it going on a stock or modified truck?
