New interior.

my first blazer was a 78 and had tan interior i thought it was ugly and swapped in grey and after that project i think its best to buy the truck with a color you like to begin with lol

Did the headliner. It was falling. The rest is in good shape, but I will get to it eventually. Headliner is now urban camo -

got any more pics or how you did the bar. that would be the only reason I would keep a headliner in my truck.

they are just white overlays for the stock gauges. http://www.acmetruckparts.com is where i got mine @, but they are an APC (yes rice) part, so you can get em alot of places. They have blue and red lettering available. Some1 on this site had a set of gauges you could print off at home, but I didnt go that route, as I wasnt sure how u would attach em to the gauges, I like what I got. Thanks for the compliments.

Its a shelf from JC Whitney. http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ProductDisplay/s-10101/p-4105/c-10101

I was doing the rest of the headliner anyway, so I wrapped it in packing blanket using the same spary adhesive that I used for the headliner and then covered it in the same material. Nothing fancy, but it is padded and matches the rest of the headliner. Its a great place to mount stuff and put things like sunglasses.

Is the console down the middle stock or out of something else (what year model..etc). I would like to do something like that to my truck. Thanks...

The overhead console is a factory part in suburbans and crew cabs.

CBBR:
Is that interior factory in your '90? Or did you swap in '91 trim?
I thought only '91's came with the overhead and the wood grain trim?
You have electric mirrors too?

The center console and the rest of the interior is factory . I have the older style large mirrors (which I like better). The console (and the rest) was part of the Silverado package according to the window sticker. I only added the shelf.

Hmm. I always thought just the '91 had the overhead console and the wood trim. Guess not! I wonder if the '89's had it too? Maybe they went to all of that when the front clip changed.

Do you guys think that a overhead console would fit in an 87 ? Or just make it fit ? :weld:

Their are supports under the headliner that you should be able to attach it to using self tapping screws. Tap a hole (short bit) and hook it up. Should do fine.

sorta. I yanked everything but the dash stuff, herculined the floor/walls and put new seats in. Does that count? As far as I can remember, the only stock stuff left in my rig is the door panels and the dash, everything else has been removed, replaced or modded.

do you have any other shots of the console? what does it have in it, maplight, etc?

something else to look for, i'd like to put one in the K5...

You can see the front map lights in the pic above. It has two more behind the rear strage compartment. Two small storage compartments. The dome light is intigrated into the back. Search eBay - I see them all of the time. I'll try to get some better pics and post them.
