I decided to start a new thread since the original was getting old.
I have started to pull the body lines back. but look at this mess.
BTW the bumper is the straight part.

Im really wondering if my frame is seriously bent.

I cannot get this rig shimmed correctly.

i have over an inch over shims on the drivers side and almost none on the passenger side.

Neither the bumper or the body look right to me. I'd recommend verifying your tires are all aired up the same and taken some measurements from the ground to various locations of the frame and compare from side to side. Something is definitely not right.

How are the bumper brackets that bolt to the frame? Old and used? If so, check them for bends, etc.

to kinda answer all the questions in one. most of this was pretty straight untill the new body mount went in. The pic does look weird but trust me that bumper is straight and The tires have less than 50 miles on them and are air'd up the same. The body is on that crokked.

The biggest thing i noticed is when I started this there were no body mounts on the core support, so when i put the new kit in my core support was lifted about 3/4". in order to get the front fenders to fit on the core support i needed to put extra shims in the body mount.

I'm actually considering taking out the 3" body lift under the core support and replacing it with a 2" lift. I believe i can get things to line up by doing that.

I don't think there's one thing going on here that's putting it that far off. The bumper doesn't look even on your hitch. I'm assuming your hitch is bolted to the frame. Take the bumper off and shoot some pics of the rear frame and how the body is sitting. And get some measurements from floor to bottom of tailgate on both sides.

ok ok,,,,, ill get some real measurements in the morning. Until then this is the only pic i can find of the rear from before. It was during my 3/4 ton conversion. so i had it on some low profile tires :haha:

ok....time to move on to bigger and better things. I pulled all the shims out and started over. everything is good except my pillar area but i can live with what i got.

Thanks for the sugestions guys. shes all back together except the front bumper where i need to make new mounts as the core support sits alot higher now.
