Well my name is Brady, I'm a new owner of a 89 K5. Traded my quad for it. It has 350tbi/700r4/241, D60/14ff, 4.56 gears, detroit in rear,39.5 swampers, crossover/hydro assist steering, 8" superlift leafs, ord shackles, shackle flip, zero rates front and rear, and a ord 1" body lift and bushings. Will post pics when i hit the 5 post mark. So far I'm happy with the deal and liking the blazer more and more i mess with it.

Welcome K5-1TON....that must have been a pretty sweet quad to trade for all that.
Sounds like its built stout. Sure sits high though.

The original plan was to sell my quad for money to fund my Willys. But this K5 came by and i couldnt resist the deal.
Here's a couple pics of the quad I traded. It was my baby and hard to let it go.

oh dear lord thats an awesome trade. and a friggin awesome willys. i vote 6v53t under its hood :) welcome to the madness.. i mean, forum.

Any plans??

So far the plans is to drive it and use it for the snow, once the tranny gets rebuilt. The transmission slips and doesn't like to shift out of 1st. I've thought about lowering it down and opening the wheel wells up, along with an interoir cage.

Nice rigs man. is that an early waggy i see in the background too?

I see a '78 or '79 F150 4x4 chassis under that Willys.

Nice score on the trade. At least you can drive the rig anywhere, legally, and be cool or warm, too, along with dry.
