well recently here in kentucky they have made it legal for diesel trucks to run hood stacks which im fine with, if those guys want soot all over there hood and winshield more power to them.

the thing that made me mad is they dont allow gas trucks to have hood stacks like zoomies... whats with that, i think im going to just run zoomies inspite of what the law is just because, what do you all think:D

Uhm, enjoy your fix-it ticket?

Really, I can't understand why one would want their exhaust blasting in front of them anyway. Just my $00.02

Are you sure of this?

Can't say I've seen any vehicles with hood stacks or zoomies anyway here in my 7 months residing here but this sounds a bit...out of character. Not to mention I never saw any mention of it from SEMA.

The stacks are everywhere and the bandwagon is going strong. Won't be long you'll hear about an accident caused by one of those diesels smoking up the road. You can't see a thing behind some of those. Then the resulting lawsuit. Don't get me wrong, I like the sound of a turbo diesel it's just the punks that think they're cool with their tow mirrors folded out smoking up and down the road. It's a real eye opener for some of them when a supercharged gas V6 Tacoma blows their doors off (at the track of course). Ego shrunk...:haha:

Because most DOT's recognize a turbo as a muffling device...A gas truck with zoomies does not have said device...Though I have always wanted to run a set of fenderwell exit zoomies...I seen a set on a 79 F350 on 39's once that exited directly above the tires and they were wicked...

i live in georgetown about 15 miles north of you and if you come here on a friday or saturday night thats all you see running around is the diesels with the hood stacks blocking soot all over there windshield. just seems kinda biased but i understand a exhaust with a turbo in it is alot quiter than a motor with zoomies, but still doesnt seem fair to me

Have any proof of this new supposed law?

No offense ment, just seems like a lot of the "they're going to ban lifts/big tires/4x4's/offroading/lights/big bumpers/steps/you name it" supposed rules I've heard for years now.
