yesterday i took off my old 4" lift and put on a 6" lift that consist of diy4x shackle flip 2" tuff country rear leaf springs, 6" tough country front springs, sx8000 shocks, front ORD shackles, and all poly greasble bushings

my problems now are that my headers now rub on the front shackles, there is a vibration between 25 and 35 mph that i didn't have with the 4" lift, and during deceleration around 30 below there is some kind of grinding noise.

i think the vibs might be the headers rubbing but not sure, and the grinding might be my front shaft, but it does it in 2wd so i'm not sure about that.

any idea's guys? and also what's the best way to bend my headers in?

well i'm off to my old shop to do an alignment, hopefully someone knows...

you probably can't bend your headers. Hedman makes a set that fit great. I had the same problem with the lower shackle bolt hitting the header collector flange. here is my thread.

here are the headers I bought.

Your rear shaft angles are probably off. that might be causing the vibrations.

Did you have your driveshaft lengthened when you got the lift? If not, that is more than likely your grinding/vibe problem.

actually now the driveshaft sits in the tail shaft housing further than when i had the 4" lift on it

the headers i have now are the headman headers part# 69090 i guess i need to get the headman part# 69230

the ones you have now are for a 2wd. and just because the driveshaft engages into the tail shaft housing does not mean the angles are correct. the reason it engages better now is that your axle has moved forward slightly from the flip. set the rear axle up on jack stands and rotate the tires by hand and see what your driveshaft joints are doing.
