 Bought & installed a new tank. A couple problems arose.

1. I had to take out the little metal spacer thingys that go between the flange & the chassis, otherwise the filler pipe would rest right on the chassis not allowing the filler hose to fit.

2. When I install the hose it will bend right around the body mount, and I'm concerned it may be a rub point that could wear through.

3. Can't find proper dia. filler hose (1 3/8" i.d.)

I measured/compared the old & the new tanks and they're identical, except for the filler tube. The old one is longer (7"?) & has a bend in it very close to the tank. The new one is only about a 3" straight stub. They are both the same dia.

BTW, the hanger straps from LMC are junk. They're cheap galv strap. There are other suppliers that have more OEM style. I may upgrade the straps at some point.

Any thoughts on the pipe issue & will there be a problem w/o those spacers?

Thanks!
