Hey guys, going to pick up the second k5 I've ever owned tomorrow.
I had one about 10 years ago an 87 k5 w/ 35"s, 1 tons, a 6inch lift (with the ak57 lift they had going around back then - not sure if its around anymore). Eventually had to sell it about 8 years ago... and tomorrow i'm picking up another 87 that has 1 tons under it and looks to be pretty solid and clean running some fairly new BFG ATs (prob. around 31")
Pretty excited to be back in the k5 world.
I'm thinking of just doing all the regular maintenance - change all the fluids, maybe the bearings/hubs as needed, throwing a detroit in the rear and calling it good for a while, then maybe several months later throwing lift/tire on combo on there. Any advice as I've prob. forgotten a lot.
