It's pricy! Got to look at one in person today. One of my sales reps brought it by. Pretty sweet. Way thinner than a standard grinder head and the head protrudes out a bit further.

Metabo makes good power tools. I've had my Metabo 5" variable speed grinder for 17-18 years now and only replaced the brushes 3 times. And it gets used just about every day. When HD first came out with the Rigid power tools, their 5" grinder was made by Metabo. I bought one to see how it performed, and when I went back to get another, they were all gone. The grinders after that were made in China.

That new grinder looks like it would be nice in some of the situations I get into.

I love my Blue Point air grinder if you have a good compressor and trefer air over electric. I love that the handle rotates and slided on the extension shaft to where ever you want it for grinding access. The release is an easy quick release too. Can not remember for the life of me what I paid though. Got a deal on it from my Snappy guy though.

That's cool. What is the price tag on something like that?

Retail Snap On price shows $282. I got it on sale for $183. My truck guy had a $99 special off reg price. Could not pass it up at that cost. It's got some torque to it. It's pretty beefy in size, 14 1/4 long tip of air fitting to edge of cutoff wheel edge. Had it for 5 years and still have not ever used it lol. Still brand spankin new! Not been doing that kind of fab in a while.
