ORD put up a couple of FB posts about a new Daily Driver/Tow Rig coilover kit. Anybody seen / heard details?

I have no details of course, but I did get to look at the truck a couple of times.

:D :D :saweet::saweet:

It's cool IMHO!

Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh I'm gonna need those spring raaaaates......

Wonder what the main differences are...:thinking:

I was wondering about the geometry of it. If it's set up for more stability and such. I'm sure that's part of it most likely..

A kit like this is exactly what I was wishing someone would make. I want to DD and tow with my Crewcab. Plus id like to have full links and coils. But don't want a crazy lift, mega travel setup.

Guess I wasn't the only one thinking that way lol

I have towed my 05 Tahoe with my truck before and it wasn't to bad. But my rear leafs are 56's that have a little arch added into them. When I purchased my ORD kit we went over what I was going to do with the truck and my coil overs are different then say a crawler. I specifically wanted to drive my truck on the street. What you are going to want is a sway bar hands down, I don't have one but will eventually put one on.

Another big thing is Chris has air bags on the rear.

yep you can see his air bag mount in the pics . but didnt he take them off and mrk5 buy them ? or did he reinstall a new bag combo to work with the 4 link setup ?

Assuming my engine produces the power it should, I'm gonna have an axle wrap issue. At some point, I'll need either an anti-wrap or link setup in the rear. I'm definitely intrigued.

Carli does long travel air bags but any air bag would work as long as you spec them out and do the extended and compressed lengths correctly to not have the axle hanging on them. You can't just use an off the shelf helper bag kit unless you just do the lower Daystar cups that the bag sits on instead of bolting to it. I think the Carli bags are designed to run with no air in them also and most helper bags are supposed to always have like 5 psi in them.
