New Paint!!

i take it this is before color sanding and buffing?? looks good man. can't wait to see it together

oh thought it was a basecoat/ clear coat. just thought i saw orange peel in that 3rd pic where the light from the garage door window is shining on the blazer. they look really smooth when you color sand them. looks sweet though

No orange peel, It laid down really nice actually, Im really happy with it, I think it was just the way the light was coming through the windows

Nice job, looks good man... :D

What'd ya squirt thru?

honestly Im not sure, It was a gravity feed gun is about all I know about it, He does awesome work, I love going to his house he has a 72 chevelle for his daughter, a 69 chevelle for his son, A 67 camaro of his own and 2-70 camaros as projects.

He is a great guy and is shooting cars almost every weekend it seems, He buys salvaged cars from auctions fixes them and sells them. Im gonna see if he will let me help him and maybe start shooting a few for him.

After you get it out of there, people will think you murdered someone in there:haha: That's how it looked after one of my buddies painted a car red in his garage.

red is by far the messiest color i've ever sprayed. my hands were red for a week. did it for the fire departments 79 chevy and it looked real good with the aluminum flatbed on it. i see that truck around places and am like "I" painted that. made me proud

The floor wasnt so bad afterwaards, he had wet the floor down really good and most of the paint just puddled up. Im gonna go get it tomorrow morning, Ill probably strat getting the trim cleaned up tonight, Then tomorrow possibly start the new wiring harness

I need suggestions for the hardtop color, Will be painting in the next month or so, after repairs are made. I was gonna go white originally, But one of the big farming supply outfits around here runn trucks that are red with white tops. There trucks are everywhere!! So whats it gonna be?

to be honest i can't think of anything that will even look right. you could go yellow and put a McDonalds sticker on it ?? :D

No question IMO, black... But I hate anything white on a vehicle... :wink1:

If it where me, I'd do black Imron with some flattening agent in it....

Yeah I was either thinkg black or a med-light grey. This Imron...what is it? car paint, rustoleum? If its car paint the only thing we have local is a PPG dealer. And the flattening agent...is it gonna be like a satin?

Imron is a Dupont product, pretty readily available usually.... You can make it as glossy or dull as you want by changing the percentage of flattening agent... PPG probably has something similar..

That way you have a highly durable finish, but in the gloss you want..
