Just got my 1990 Jimmy back from having it painted. It was repainted white with single stage fleet paint. It looks good with only a few sags. The paint job cost me $1100 so I wasn't expecting perfection for that price. I was lucky to start off with a truck with no rust that didn't require much body work.

for $1100 and sags I hope they had to dis-assemble/reassemble it as well?

It looks good!

It does look good in the pics. Really good. I'm also curious what all they did, other than paint. Did they remove the trim/door handles/etc?

They removed everything before painting it. The paint is just single stage urethane. The white matches the white on the interior, but the color was "fleet white". It looks good to me and if it holds up I'll be happy. I didn't have time or a place to paint it myself so I was happy with the price.

I"d pay that much for a decent paint job. it looks good man, exactly what i want for my suburban.

That single stage paint is what I painted the inside of my fiberglass top with. Really nice shine and great coverage. I know my buddy when he painted it said it is a heavy paint and is easy to get runs and sags if not careful. He also said it is was is used on a lot of the "company" or fleet trucks that are used by many companies. I'm real happy with how my top looks and your truck looks good too.
