I pulled the 350 and had it stroked and bored. 383. While it was out I had the engine compartment repainted back to original. My plan for the truck was to eventually drop a fiberglass body on it. Since I've realized how close this truck is to being back to original condition (its rust free and all stock) I've decided not to do this and just restore it. It will remain all original (minus the 383).

So I'm in the market for a truck that deserves a fiberglass body. Something that has a good frame but a body that isn't salvageable.

why??? find a solid arizona full convertable, buy it and take it home.... then give the body to me for xmas :)

Just wondering what a fib. body cost. I have the frame from my 82. That would make a nice project for me.

there was a thread on here, someone had a fiberglass body that they rhino lined for strength. i think he said the fiberglass body (tub, hood, fenders, etc) was like $4,000-7,000
