Isn't that the same engine that Ryan B put into his 1st Gen (aka "Project Secret Squirrel")???

I don't know much about those, but it sure looks like the one he's got.....

I know that he and Kevin (K5TPI) already solved a lot of the wiring harness mysteries (Kevin has done quite a few of these conversions) so if you need advice along the way, you've got a couple of friendly CK5ers to help you along.

FWIW -> Ryans truck RIPS with that new motor!!! It didn't like getting soggy in Moab, but that's another story....

I'm getting ready for the same swap. Sent the harness and computer out. Ordered the 700R4. Have the engine sitting in the garage. I'm waiting to hear how yours goes.

Greg...Yep, it's the same engine. These motors respond insanely well to anything you do to them so I imagine his is pretty mean. Ryan has had to put up with a lot of my questions up till now.

LVJimmy...Hopefully I'll know in the next week or two if the mounting solution I have is going to work or not. I'm going to try to keep the thread as up to date as possible.
