Well got back late last night with a new project vehicle. Nicknamed Barnacle by Johns wife. Going to be a ground up rebuild. Slowly but surely it will all come together.

Big thanks to John and CB for helping me load the trailer. Now only if I could get it unloaded............

1986 Military Blazer, used to be a Comm Truck. Wrecked in the front end. needs a new frame, front clip, and welll everything else to make these things go. Most of it is all ready lined up with the help of the Southeast Regions Parts Supplier (clarkjw24) and then it will still need some.

A real fixer upper....:D:D:D

Wow, you could have just done it from the ground up and just bought new stuff with so much work to do.

I like it... and thats the way I would do it too.

Good luck!!! How did you get it on the trailer???

Some of John's and CB's engineering. Pretty clever and didn't take too long to do it. Spent more time talking to the guy I got it from then loading it on the trailer.

Jacked up the rear and placed some cinder blocks on the frame, backed the trailer underneath it up until we hit the blocks. Then CB got a floor jack and put it under the rear, jacked it up so it could roll and hi lifted the front, knocked it over until it was all the way on the trailer.

Plans for it are still in the works. I have a completely blank canvas to start with so who knows. Will see in a few months when I get started on the tub.

As far as buying everything new, it would be easy to do but this one is going to be a budget build. Well for now it will be a budget build and right now all I have invested is 2 tanks of diesel fuel to go down and back.

EXCELLENT!!! Can't wait to see the progress pics! :woot:

That late '70's K-5 across the river from me for $700.00 or less. It is stock though.

looks good James, when you going to start boxing the frame?? I may have to come over a take a look at that!!

How about when you gonna get your truck back from the cage guy?:wink1:

Its coming home tommarow, James you want to use the presure washer on it, and think of another name??

Give me a call, we may be able to link it on the cheap!!!!

That's an awesome looking truck man. Nice paint job to....That thing must have set you back about a couple tanks of gas and a sweaty t-shirt. Let me know if you need anything fab'd up, or you need any parts that I may already have.

You need to swing by the house sometime and take a look at it. Doesn't resemble anything in the pics right now, well it almost does, thanks to a pressure washer.
