right now i have a 89 gmc burban 454 tbi/th400/np208 1 ton running gear and 40's. The truck is slowly starting to rot out, and its kind of a pain to wheel in the woods considering what it is, but all-in-all it does what i want and is a good rig.
For a new project i was thinking about putting my drivetrain into a k10 pickup with the 6' bed wheelbase and make a flatbed for it. I would like to have a 4 speed with a hydraulic clutch. So that leads me to a sm465. Or an sm420 ( lower 1st gear), but i dont know if you can use the hydro clutch bell housing from a 465 on the sm420..?? I also dont know if i should keep the tbi or to just get a diff intake and carb (truck avenger) to keep wiring simple. How hard would it be to convert a carb truck over to my tbi ?
