got the suspension/axles/40's and everything put on this weekend. i'm seeing a little bit of oil coming from the new inner hub seals i put on the rear, it looks like its coming from the between the outside of the seal and the hub, not from between the inner part of the seal and the spindle.

i am thinking i should have put some rtv around the outside of the seal before putting it in. is that what you guys do?

thanks

The compund the seals are coated in (Green on a CR seal) is designed to seal around the outside, but if you have a slight imperfection in the housing, then it wouldnt be hard to leak fluid.
