got a 95 sblazer today
what should i look for in this thing for problems that would cause it not to go over 55? i havent driven it yet, but thats the word from the p.o.

only paid 800 bucks..

I woulda bought if for 800... and worst case... it becomes a SFA full width trail rig.

If its got the 4.3 and 4spd Auto you have got a great start to a family trail rig.

i had the same thing happen on my 98 S10...clogged cat was the culprit, unhook the exhaust in front of the cat and see if it runs better...or just undo one or two of the 02 sensors(easier) that should free some things up.

ill give you 801.00 for it.

someone today told me that the module in the distributor cap is bad... it runs really rich, gonna replace the muffler this weekend.. sound like a good choice on the dist?

i would geuss some type of ingition problem...does it run good up till that point.

idles really nice... crawled under it today, looks to be a real PITA to change that muffler... got a 40 series flowmaster coming my way tomorrow, used for 15 bucks... so i think ill take the old muffler off at the flange and cut it as close as i can to the muffler and put it onto the 40 series and just dump it, then this weekend if i have time (between recaulking at least one of the bathrooms saturday, changing the lift pump on my freightliner and golfing sunday) im gonna try and get the EGR cleaned up..

so anyways. idles like a dream, but when you throttle it, it hesitates or stumbles a little then takes off like a raped ape..

so i replaced the muffler, cleaned the iac and the egr and filled the intake with deep creep, carb cleaner, brake cleaner and b12 chemtool LOL...
smoked like heck for 2 or 3 minutes... still has the stumble... gonna change plugs and wires next weekend, pulled the plug outta the drivers front cylinder and the long electrode was half worn and half green lol

hmmm...possibly the MAF sensor...or plugs,wires,etc.
