Selling my 158k mile 2001 S10 and begin driving this 122k mile 2000 Toyota Camry. Sucker if fully loaded, for back in the day. It's my late uncles car and before that it was my Grandma's. So I am the 3rd owner. I will keep the cigarette butts in the ash tray (my uncles) and clean the rest of the car. Has a little wear but she drives nice.

So, my friends all think I'm crazy cause every car I buy is older than my first car.

Oddly enough though, the C10 with it's LS/4L65 transplant has the least amount of miles on the drivetrain. It also has the least amount of miles on the suspension and brakes lol.

those are good daily drivers, just do the basic maintenance and drive it.

To those who may have owned one of these. What should I be on the look out for?

The driver window is temperamental, sometimes needs help going up. The AC works great, stereo speakers blow though. I plan to have everything checked out, along with fresh oil, fluids, and brakes so I have a starting point. The tires look a little dry on the sidewalls too.

It has a new battery but the voltage while at idle is a little low. 13.7 volts

I daily drive a 1999 ES300, which is a V6 Camry with different bodywork.

Just rolled over 238 thousand miles this weekend, still pretty much runs like new. AC blows as cold as the day I bought it.

Never had a water pump issue. Only real issue I have had is a couple of the coils (which sit right on top of the plugs) have died. And replaced the high pressure PS hose.

For the past 5 years or so the check engine light comes on, the code it throws is for some kind of vacuum leak in the EGR system. It doesn't really affect anything, runs fine, still gets about 28 mpg. So I just turn the light off each year, drive it around for about 60 miles, smog it, then let the light come back on and not worry about it until next smog time. lol.

Wow. After posting here, I decided to look into my check engine light. It was throwing a P0446 code, which is emissions vacuum stuff.

I googled it, looked through videos for replacing the charcoal canister and such. Came across one where a guy showed a little hose underneath the air cleaner that is hard to find can come off and throw the code.

I just went and look, and lo and behold. My hose was off. Holy crap, I have been dealing with this for six years. hahahaha.
