So after selling my k5's and moving to Idaho and being rig-less, I finally got back in the game, not a K5, but it will do! Its a 1942 willys flat fender on a cj-7 tube frame. Traded my boat for it on Sunday.

350 (carb soon to be TBI)
t19 tranny
D20 with tera low gears
Dana 60 front, spool, PSC full hydraulic steering
9" rear, 40 spline hardened shafts, upgraded third member, but dont know the make yet.
Front warn 8274, rear warn 12k winch
cage etc
on 38.5x14.50x15 super swampers.

Needs a fuel cell, but the tank it has works. Came with the brackets for rear disc brake conversion, and needs a few gauges, paint, personal touches etc.

What you guys think?

Thanks. I just need to find some good wheeling spots in Idaho now. Will start a build thread soon. The dana 20 needs twin sticks, the 350 injection, gauges, rework the dash, build a trans tunnel cover, and a few other odds and ends. Not a bad crawl ratio at 90:1.

The 9" with the 40 spline and nodular third member, is as strong as a 14bff, from what ive read, I haven't done much with ford 9's but have heard good things. Definitely lighter and better clearance. I figure if it breaks then I can always throw in a 14bff.

Oh no, it's a fine axle. It is just a funny combo, a half ton rear axle, and a one ton front axle.
