new seals vs. soft top......

okay. I've tracked some leaks down to the seal around the hard top and the body.
- My question is - if i plan on putting on a soft top soon anyway, do I need to replace these seals now? I'd rather save the money and replace the seals when/if I ever put the hard top back if possible. I've never really examined a soft top up close to see if they utilize these seals or not.

The soft tops do not use the factory hardtop seals.
