I was wondering if anyone has swapped out their seats with any others from say a corvette or camaro, or anything like that? Was wondering if there any seats out of another car that will bolt right in without any mods.

I miss my Ex, but my aim is getting better!

I don't know if there are any other seats that will just bolt right in. I've got seats from an '84 Mustang SVO in mine. They're Ford copies of a Recaro, complete with inflatable lumbar supports. 5 minutes with a saw and welder and the stock K5 seat brackets were attached to 'em.

Just look around in the junkyards for something you like. You can make about anything fit with a bit of ingenuity!

I just installed a pair of power, leather jammies in my Jimmy from a 97 Chrysler LHS. SWEEEEET! A long walk through home depot netted the necessary mounting materials. Good luck!!

There are a few seats out with the correct hight but ALL will require some fabrication to mount them. The front seats in my 75 are the middle row captains chairs out of a 92 or so Mitsubishi Mini Van. They Recline, Swivle, have double foulding armrests and fold flat. The seat tracks are 36 inches long :) Sure made getting into the back seat a lot easier. I'm look got a set of front seat out of a 93 or so Full size Extended cab (without the rear doors) for my wifes 79. Those have the double shuttle slides that lets the passenge seat slide up to the dash to let back passengers in. DepDog runs a set of Seat out of a Full size Dodge Ram.
The best trucks to look for would be Full size 90 or newer Extended cab with flat floors.

I was thinking about putting in some new different seats. But I'll probably have to settle for seat covers for now. I gotta replace the seals in the front pinion, the t-case and I need to get brake lines and tires before the Tellico run.
Besides, Im gonna have to do some cancer repair on the floor right where the damn seat mounts to the floor. I can see me gaining some wait and hoping in there one day and ending up sitting on the ground eye level with the gas pedal. LOL!!!

I want to get some seats the have adjustment to them, not just the driver seat moving back and forth...

If it ain't a Chevy, don't raise it up!

mine work great. they're out of a '98 suburban. drivers seat has 6-way power and lumbar. passenger seat has lumbar. both seats slide forward and the backs flip forward too. a big improvement on the stock blazer seats. i didn't use anything from the old seats. used air tools to drill and install. oh yea, they are leather and i did get the console. seats and console cost me $450.

the pics are here below.

I believe they do come in grey.........call Seat Source in Riverside, CA - 909-343-9430 and ask Tim (if he still works there), cost about $800 delivered to my door with the mounts to bolt them in directly. Took 20 minutes per seat. They have lumber pumps, headrest adjusts in and out as well as up and down, thigh bolster extension, and are very comfortable, as well as having great side support (they would be wonderful in an IROC or something). Good luck........

I just found out today. That seats out of a 88 astro van. Fit right in to a 86 blazer no mod needed. I got arm rests to $100.00 at a junk yard................

BlazinOR, I love thoss seats!
Does the center console flip up to make a kiddie seat?
And it came with all the hardware to bolt directly into your original holes in the floorboards???
One last question, do they sit higher than the stock seat do? I'm pretty tall, so I need mine to be kind of low so I don;t hit my head on the trails.

I put in a set of swivel bucket seats from a 1975 Monte Carlo in my old 76 Blazer (long gone by now). I used a few 2 X 4's stacked perpendicular to each other to make my own frame to mount the seats to. Didn't look pretty, but worked great! Of course it was purely a winter / off road beater.
