New SHOCKS?

Getting ready to install a Tuff Country 2" lift, replaced my shocks last year with standard Bilsteins. Everything else is pretty much stock, dont really wheel the truck, just snow and dirt fireroads. Do I *need* to get extended length shocks?

Yes!!!! You certainly need extended length shocks!

Bilsteins rock though, don't trade a Bilstein for any crappy Rancho shock!

With the TC lift and the shocks that come with the kit you will be fine if that is what you are planning. I would not keep the stock length shocks especially in the front. Once you buy your lift and have everything on for a couple of months take it offroad and flex it some. You will be suprized at how much the ride will change after one day of wheeling. It will soften everything up and make it ride much nicer.

I got the kit without shocks, didn't want to spend more money when I still have decent shocks. I also didn't want to get the tuff country shocks because I wasnt sure of their quality, if I *need* longer shocks I would rather go with a bilstein 5100. Hopefully I won't crash and burn with stock height shocks on the rig for a few months.
