This could go in the IFS, tow rig or even the lounge... iono so I dumped it here in the garage... it's a truck and it's kinda tech related :)

Anyways here's some pics... I've been driving on them this weekend and I LOVE the setup... had to trim a little (temporary until the tube bumper goes on the front) but they run smooth and straight as an arrow even at 75mph+...

305/70-16 Nitto Terra Grappler Radial, Load range E mounted up on a set of 16x8 Black Steelies w/ 4.5" BS...

Pretty much silent... with the windows up I can't hear them at all.

I have a thing for SRW crewcabs -- they're so often duallies, ya know, so the SRW ones are just, I donno, tidier looking =)) That's why I didn't want the big fat fenders when I converted mine to dually.

So those are basically 33x12.0's, huh; I'm surprised to see load range E in that. Generally LR E's are skinny tires.

Clean truck, I like it. IMHO it should have a lumber rack, but then you think you could do some bedrail toolboxes too, and then you think about a transfer tank, and pretty soon you have 4000 pounds of crap in the bed and you can't fit anything back there :haha:

Yeah that's why I went with these... 33/12.50-16's in a Load Range E...

Since you brought it up the plan for the truck is...

Tube front bumper (black) with two flood lights...
An ORU style rack on top...
Black diamond plate low profile (under bed-rail) toolbox to replace the big one thats in there right now...
and paint the whole truck black...

Technically 32.8" but I'm not sure in real life...
I'll measure it tomorrow... although I can say they didn't squat hardly at all even after the weight of the truck was on them... 10 ply load range E is the only way to go on a 1 ton apparently :)

I've got a set of 305/70/16 Widetrack MT's that measure right at 33". I was just wondering how the off-brand would compare size-wise to a name brand.

I'm sure we're within a 1/4"... it'll also depend on how wide a rim they're mounted on as well as how heavy the vehicle is... heck even tire pressure and how much tread is left... but I know they're right at 33".

Looks good man.

Thanks... it'll look even better once it's black and has the tube bumper up front...

Avery, can you get a width measurement too please. I have the 295/75/16's on my tow rig, I like them but they wear quick and are only D rated. I like the idea of an E rated tire especially since my trailer is about 15-16K loaded.

3" body but I think after 126k miles the front t-bars are a little saggy... and yeah I'll measure them on the truck tomorrow and get back to everyone...

Looks good Avery! I love the black steelies.. very nice look on that truck.

Rattlecan it camo! :haha:

I love that truck. Get a big ass bull bar on there and you'd have the perfect urban zombie hunting vehicle :D

WOW! That is a good looking tow rig right there! :waytogo: I just bought some new tires for my tow rig, I was actually wanting the same you have but, in a 265/75R16E variety (no lift) but, there's a shortage of my size in those tires out here so, I had to get something different. Anyways, looks great, I hope they are working well for ya!

my dads truck has a 3" body lift and he cleared 35"s
2008_0105eric0003.jpg

I've heard that from a few people... to be honest I'm not sure why it's so tight. I know it's a 3" BL but I'm maxxed out with these 33's... the back could fit 35's but the front would hit all over the place...
Did he crank the torsion bars?
