this was cheep / easy and WORKS GOOD !

also had sentimental value . was from my dads 1970 3/4 ton 4x4 gmc plow truck .

nice thing was 72 and back hoods are square back . unlike 73-up arch/radius .

32" entry door for size ref . 6ft wide x 4ft out for the hood .

I love it...:D

I have an old rusted '73 K10 hood ,thought about using it like that on my garage--but it has the arched back near the cowl,so that wouldn't be ideal..
Maybe I could chop it off square...no one will see it anyway..

AWESOME! I need a awning out the back door of my shop too. Stealing this idea if you don't mind. Thanks for posting. My old neighbor used helicopter landing gear skids with a piece of sheet metal wired to the skid tubes. It worked.

After looking at my walk in door and the width of the hood,I think its too big to work on my quonset garage, the overhead door is right next to the walk in one...:(...

That's awesome!!!
