I finally bit the bullet & bought a Snap-on box. It a middle of the road Classic 96. Black with a stainless top. I bought it used from an aircraft mechanic. It is 2 years old & looked like it was brand new. I replaced a old Craftsman box. I had been working out of it for 12 years & it served me well, but it was time to step up. Best part is I picked the new box up for $2500. I have a lot of large tools, I work on heavy equipment & dump trucks. This box is at our family buisness's shop so I also work on all of my rigs here too. A lot of the drawers in the Craftsman box would barely slide from the wieght in them. The Snap-on box doesn't even blink at the wighet.

Some crappy cell phone pics.

Both boxes side by side:

very nice box! i bought a snap on box maybe 2 years ago and i ran into it with my truck. still havent got it fixed.

congrats... you wont be disappointed... KRL's are the best box you can buy imo....

cute kids btw! :D

I've never heard of a KRW line... only KRL and KRA... and KRA's have the rounded corners and are more "budget" orientated........

well, now i just went and looked, whats with KRW risers? but i dont see any KRW boxes listed....

huh, thats interesting... i thought all the KRA's had the rounded corners... looks like a KRL...

I swear I want my box in the orange, with a locker at the other end too....

Yah you have a nice box too...

Anyhow The easiest way I have seen to tell mine from the KRL is that the KRL has square chrome corners & chrome between the drawers. Mine does not.

I had a Classic 96 for awhile also. Worked fine till I got a deal on my KRL. The riser is easily the best investment I have made for my KRL. Oh and its ORANGE!!!:D I'll get a new pic tomorrow.

Nice box, enjoy.

Nice. My old room mate had a Classic 78. Pretty decent box. Here is a horrible quality cell phone pic of mine. By the way, I should be sending you a check tomorrow.

Cool, I like getting money in the mail.

Ya, I would like to have a hutch & a locker too, but that aint happenning any time soon.

Took this pic today. Crappy cell pic, sorry. The red box is what replaced by bulky, heavy tool bags.

the lockers are bucks.. but per cubic inch, I think it's more bang for the buck than a lower, hanging drawer section...

for the money I think the hutches are great for alot of guys.. big addition for not a ton of money..., it's just not for me... i need the drawer space of a top box, not counter space... I have work benches for that...

The chevy orange rocks! I want....

nice, the classic series are good boxes for the money. ive got a 3 bay matco that ive been using for 5yrs now, just recently paid it off actually. im gonna replace with with a KRL series 3 bay with a hutch someday...
