I looked at getting my transmission rebuilt for one of the vans in my fleet and it was going to be $1100 for a stock rebuild and stock torque converter plus tax to go to someone reputable. I got a number from one of my dads friends and called it today. The guy (scott) was very flexable and I ended up buying a transmission from him with a billet torque converter, tranny fluid additive, and cooler flush kit for $1074 shipped to my door. He said he builds them better than stock and warrenties them for 3 years. I didn't know if I should post this but I don't know the guy and i'm not trying to pimp his business but I thought I would share this if anyone is in need of a transmission. His number is 877 242 8726 and his name is Scott. He is out of FL but he threw in shipping etc. I will let you know if my transmission blows up or if it runs like a top.

What is it for a trans? Specs please!
I'm in need of a TH400.

Thanks,
Mike

He does all transmissions. Just call him with what you need. I have a TH400 but i've never run it so I don't know if its good or not. I was told from the guy I bought if from that it was. I got another out of my parts truck and wanted to use the np208 instead of the np203 so I went that route.

if it's the same scott im thinking of out of tampa, then he does AWESOME work, he is a stand up guy...i have bought 3 or 4 trans. from him and all were pefect....i even got the hard to find 4L65E trans for my old z71..... well, it was hard for me to find at the time......good guy, i highly recommend him if thats him.

Well i'm happy about that because I don't want this thing to blow up! Makes it harder to make money with a van down.
