Last time I rebuilt steering or front a arms and suspension, I used Napa premium or Moog.
Are they still good, or something better out there?…
OEM rubber replacement bushings, bolt in ball joints (as opposed to riveted oem type), tie rod ends. NAPA and Rock Auto shown, RA has several brands and quality levels to choose from, and these are the high end of their list.

These are for my Vette and CCDRW-C30

Internet rumors (therefore they must be true…)

I’ve read that Moog isn’t the quality it used to be.

I’ve also read to be careful with parts from Amazon and RA as they could be knock offs.

That said, recently RA had the best price (outside of Amazon) on unit bearings for my Dodge however their warranty wasn’t very long, was with the manufacturer not RA and a review said the SK denied a warranty claim because of possible knock offs parts.

Just sayin.

I’ve read the same on moog but have yet to experience any issues.

Same with RA. Always gotten what I ordered and it’s been fine. Did have a bum alternator for my old 4Runner that smoked on first startup but they exchanged no questions asked and the replacement ran fine.

The internet tends to forget that sometimes shit happens and you are just the unfortunate soul that got picked.

worst part about reviews is that people only bitch about any problems, never get the happy guy thats satisfied saying the part is quality.

Plus how do you know what’s a real review anymore? Everything is AI and BS .

Dave what you asked was a good question… ask people you can trust!

Shitiest thing is every thing is cheaped out one time limited use Chinese garbage.

For what its worth I hear Moog is not what is was. Not sure what is better for your application, or any other options?

I have been using the Mevotech for 4-5 years across a broad spectrum of vehicles.. Boots aren't dry rotting like most offshore types. I feel like they are on the better end of whats available. My last couple sets of Moog have left me with a less than fuzzy feeling.

That matches the reviews I have been seeing

Anybody use AC DELCO gold ball joints/TRE’s?
Ive noticed not all manufacturers list forged housings in their description’s.

I've been hearing claims of poor quality from my mechanic friends about moog. My last balljoints came from Mevotech and they were the TTX models for a Dana 44 on the front of Sancho. No complaints so far.

I used those on my 02 tahoe, nice and tight for 20K miles before it was wrecked.

I don't think I've been disappointed in any AC Delco gold stuff. I put their steering and idler arms on my '05 and that's got to be going on 10 years now. AC Delco silver is usually run-of-the-mill, maybe better finishes than most. AC Delco advantage is like lowest bidder from China stuff. If you can find AC Delco "OE", that's what came on the vehicle (like all AC Delco parts 30 or 40 years ago!), but they are often 2x the price of Gold.

It's definitely a dynamic landscape of parts out there. Keep in mind AC Delco hasn't made a part in years and the same is true for some parts from all brands. The name on the box doesn't tell you made the part.

We had a rule that anyone who sold moog parts and they came back, that the salesman had to pay the techs labor for the warranty work.
Moog low quality is validated by real world shop experience.
