???

The only thing edelbrock about it is the dual side mounted floats. The things that sell me on it, for a street carb, are the 1-3/8" primarys, phenolic main body, easy change metering rods, triple stacked booster, no gaskets down low, redesigned idle ports. Its like if a quadrajet and a thermoquad had a baby, and then that baby had sex with an edelbrock, they would make this carb. I think it would make a really good street carb, maybe not so much of an off-road unit.

I guess I see side float bowls and I see edelbrock. It would be more of a thermoquad which is OK. I bet it will suck off road and maybe I am dumb but I have never had anything run better than a holley double pumper on a true street car.

Demon doesnt make offroad carbs, and never has as far as im aware. Strip/street carbs the Demons are hard to beat. Lots of people around here run them on their drag cars.

Mine has just a plain old holley 4500 with some red boosters from Pro Systems. Pretty mild.

Definately looks like a clone of the old Carter Thermoquad carb!....didn't enough vehicles burn to the ground back in the 70's thanks to the phenolic resin carb body melting to get "plastic" carbs banned?..evidently not....................................................................................................The Thermoquad was not a "bad" carb actually,if you could find one with no cracks in the body..it was about the only other "spread bore" carb besides a few Holleys that would bolt up to a Q-jet intake with no adaptors...

I had a 4175 on my z28 in highschool. It was WAY better than the ccc qjet.
