Well I installed some of these:

They went in smoothly, just like the old style seals. Sliding the axle shaft into these seals is a pain. I needed lots of force, even with the shaft lubed, and lots of jiggling. It was much more difficult than the old style seals. If you service your axle frequently with complete teardowns I suggest getting the old style seals. If I were to do it again, I would have used the old style. I'm not looking forward to doing this again - I may even replace these seals with the regular ones on next teardown.
