Bought an 89 V10 Suburban this weekend. Body is rough, but runs strong(knock on wood) has 100,000 miles on it. Plan to fix it up to be dd/tow rig. now all I need are some sub culture stickers. /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

will the stock drivetrain hold up, or will I have to upgrade? I love how much space it has, got room for all my gear, 4 more people and all their gear, its great! little difficult parking though! lol as soon as I get back I plan on decking it out amnd making it a killer rig. /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gifJ /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

It just all depends on what your intentions are for this rig....my burb is still sitting on 1/2ton running gear and I've wheeled the piss out of it, but I am upgrading to 3/4ton stuff for towing purposes.
