New Suburban!

Nice man! I tell you what I'd rather have a stock height sub with stock axles than the torn apart monster I've got right now. Kinda makes me wish I had left it alone all those years ago.

I was wondering where that one went. I've had my eye on that one for some time because it was a manuel. Nice score and nice looking burb.:waytogo:

Best part is it's not all f#*ked up. Most of em I looked at were hack jobs an disasters. Wires and sensors everywhere...

I am fortunate to have friends with the knowledge and ability to work on these, I have common sense to ask and watch before I attempt something, and I know the limitations of my abilities. I plan on listening and doin it all right. I look forward to reading and learning. Best part is for the moment I have a good driver. We took it on a little bit of off road to test the 4wd....granny gear and 4 low are amazing. I have a list of things to do and the guidance to get it done right. Should be a fun build.

First on the list is a fuel tank skid plate. I have started lookin for a decent affordable one. Then the debate on cutting or not cutting... how much to cut. 4 inch lift and 35s are what I am shooting for... Bigger radiator..... I found a tbi kit if I can get it for a good deal it would be nice...Or should I forgo that for all the other little things I need and just plan on doing that later? I am not rollin in dough, but I do have some cash to play with.

Looks great!

I picked up my first parts today from a CK5 member. Drivers side battery tray for the second battery and a fuel tank skid plate. Now if it will only dump a massive blizzard tomorrow so I can test out the 4wd in some deep snow

I picked up a 4 inch lift today. all 4 Shocks, front springs, blocks for the rear.

All I need now is a set of U blts for the front and rear of an 85' 2500 suburban, either a drop pitman arm or a raised steering arm and a set of 6 inch braided steel brake lines

I would do the TBI swap first. I use to like carburetors, but I have grown to hate them, and love the benefits of EFI.

Just go to a parts store and buy new ones. That are a truck shop should be able to bend you new ones. I have the best luck just buying them from a local parts store. They are only $8 a piece.
