New TBI Conversion?

That seems really stupid when adapting the big block TBI over will support more than 330 hp. Plus if your going for big numbers why not just get a TPI setup and stripped harness. I just cant EVER see spening $1600 on injection.

I agree the price of this mod makes it dumb IMO.

TBI isn't much different then carbuerated. Personally I would rather switch to a carb before I went to a 4brl TBI. If this was direct port injection then the price might make sense.

I guess I can see why it costs $1600, but why it was ever made I'm unsure.

I suspect those HP numbers are based solely on the 36lb injectors. Larger injectors would support more HP, since the throttle body at 750CFM is decently sized.

Looks to me like someone combined port injection with TBI, and in so doing combined the worst parts of both...more injectors, costly fuel rails, and a wet intake.

Maybe I'm missing something?

Not really new. 4 barrel kits have been around for a long time.
For $250 you can get a bored stock TB that will support 450 HP. New chip and injectors will add another $350. For aprox 600 bones you will have a GM system that will do as much as that motorvation system will do.

Accel, Holley, and Barry Grant make 4 barrel TBI systems too. The Holley comander TBI kits are around $1600.
Edelbrock makes a multi port injection kit for TBI trucks. it is around $1000

Yeah, I know 4 barrel kits have been around along with those other fuel injection setups from Accel, Holly, etc. I agree you can save a lot more money with GM system, just found it interesting the way motorvation had theirs set up versus the other kits on the market.
