:eek1: What a difference, I could only hit 3500 revving it up now I can hit 5k. Guess my stock spring badly needed replaced. I felt like I just put some new stickers on and gained 10hp :haha:

A must do cheap mod, that everyone should do hands down.

didn't grab enough throttle? hell I dunno lol. If i put it on the floor it would only reach the mid 3k's now if i push it to the floor it reaches about 5.

I'm probably hallucinating from the fuel filter replacement to.

A bad throttle return spring could only keep your carb/TB from returning to idle.

It shouldn't have anything to do with how high it can rev.

I put the filter in after I drove around with the new spring.

Well, think about it. The throttle return spring returns the throttle linkage back to idle.

There is no way the spring can prevent the throttle butterflies from opening all the way. Something else is/was going on.

I know I have been, I feel such like a moron :haha:

I don't think that would have been it but it sure seems a lot more responsive on the pedal.

Either way, this thread needs to die because of my stupidity. :haha:
